Workers should be fit and ready to work in confined places, and aware of the hazards incorporated in their work. They must be given appropriate training in working with confined place, plus drilled regularly in the company emergency procedures.

Confined Spaces: Permit Entry PPT

on Permit Entry Procedures is provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Upon entry on confined spaces, permit requirements must be submitted to prevent unauthorized and unsafe entry. Permit entries are used to identify and evaluate the hazards present in the working environment, and to ensure safety prior to entry.

Confined Spaces: Attendants PPT

on Confined Space Attendants Training is provided by the US Mine Rescue Association. Attendants pose an important role when doing work in confined places. They are responsible for monitoring conditions outside the entrance to the space and monitoring conditions inside the space. If monitoring failed, the result may be as critical as death of the workers inside the confined spaces. Communication is also their responsibility to monitor the entrant’s status inside, and to alert them in case of an emergency.
